About Receiving Medications and Requests for Administration
As a general rule, administration of medication is supported only in the case of sick-child care.
When making a request, please be sure to complete the “Medication Administration Request Form” and hand it to the supporter.
In addition, please prepare the medication yourself by pre-dividing it into single doses, hand it directly to the supporter, and clearly explain the method of administration.
Please note that medication administration by babysitters may not be permitted in some municipalities. We recommend confirming in advance with your local authority whether it is allowed.
Medication may be administered during regular babysitting support if all of the following conditions are met.
※ All items marked with “●” must be satisfied.
▼ Conditions under which medication may be given during regular support
● The guardian is unavoidably unable to administer the medication.
● The medication has been prescribed by a physician.
● The medication is not being taken for the first time.
・ In the case of chronic conditions (e.g., bronchial asthma, epilepsy, diabetes, atopic dermatitis).
・ In the case of medications required in emergencies, such as anticonvulsants or anti-allergy drugs.
(However, if symptom assessment is necessary, administer only after confirming by phone.)
Why not talk to a babysitter about your concerns?
